Back in Kyoto

Back at my favourite accommodation in Kyoto, Yoshi-Ima. Yoshi-Ima is a Ryokan or traditional Japanese style Inn. They have been operating in Kyoto since 1747 and I have had many stays here, the friendly staff know me by sight. This my room for the next three days.

And I even have hinoki bath. Hinoki is a type of Cypress native to Japan. A traditional type of bath is made from Hinoki because hot water releases essential oils when filled.
