Hanabi
I almost forgot it was Saturday until I heard the sound of fireworks. The reclaimed area of Odaiba has fireworks on Saturday this time of year. The Japanese word for fireworks, hanabi, literally means flower fire.
Drinks and nibbles
Club lounge food and drinks. Local craft beer. With the lights of Tokyo through the window.
Heading back to Tokyo
Heading back to Tokyo from Niigata through snowy countryside. Some ski resorts have their own Shinkansen station.
Jetfoil back to Niigata
The only boat I've been on that requires you to use a seatbelt. That is the car ferry to the island in the view.
